ABOUT ME...

 

 

So 2011 is behind me & let's just say it was a year of Change! Not bad just different & Change is something you have to get use to. I always have new stuff swirling in my head & now I have a little more time to get those swirls out.

 

So I guess I should let you my story:

• I am a wife, Mother & now Grandmother.
• I live in the friendly Mitten state of Michigan~ Have my whole life.
• Radical Recycks is my full time job.

I have always loved making stuff but for a time in my life I didn't make much of anything I didn't see the point then one day I did see the point ~ Because it makes me happy Duh! So how did Trash become my medium you wonder? Well I'm a Girl Scout leader & I took an enrichment class called leave no trace. The instructor said to us if you could just make one change what a difference it would make. Those words really hit home from some reason & I decided I could do one thing and started Recycling. That first week I went from 3 overflowing trash cans to less than one. My mission was clear after that & since I have an extreme nature I didn't just want to recycled I wanted to Upcycle & make stuff with the Trash! Now I am the Trash Monitor at parties~ Everyone asks me what's ok to throw away! (I take my job seriously lol).

I often get trash left on my front porch or a package of trash in the mail. If I can't use it I will recycle it but chances are I will eventually come up with something!

I now see that Together we CAN make a difference!
