Seems like Pop Tab Bracelets, Belts,
Purses, etc. have been done--they are everywhere. BUT I have a bag of pop
tabs hanging on the side of my fridge that have been haunting me.
I really didn't want to go down that path because it just seems like
that path is now a paved road. I decided I needed to get them off of the
fridge so I would make some bracelets and give them to my daughter and
her friends. Made one it was boring so I added strips of scrap old
shirts (double "upcycling" ;-) and I fell in love!
To me it doesn't look the
the typical Pop Tab bracelet (thankfully). Almost done with my supply~ now if they sell well at my shows I may be on the hunt for Donations!

With my new found love for the T-Shirt
comes a byproduct-- lots of scrap material. Since my mission is to ReUse
everything possible or at very least recycle. I could not part with the
T-Shirt scraps I have acquired.
So what to do with all this scraps?
Hmm.......................A T-shirt Rug!
Not the crochet or knit kind-- been there did that.
These are small pieces that I really aren't big enough to make much of anything.
So I have seen these rugs in some of the magazines that I get but for what ever reason it didn't dawn on me until the other day!
Cut Cut Cut Sew Sew Sew
TaDa!
T-Shirt Scrap all ready to go!
The Scrapy Rug !
Apple Pie using the Rug as a play matt!
It's can be used in many ways!
I seem to be addicted to making these
or maybe I just want the clean up all the scraps that I have laying around. Either way I am on rug #3. This one will be Black, Gray & Red for my
Bathroom. (#1 Was shades of blue and Green & a bit smaller. I have no room in my house that this one will go but then again when does that ever matter?)

Seems I lost my MoJo!
I have not been in the mood to really
do anything! I am thinking it's due to my foot since I can't walk on it
and it's getting frustrating not being able to do everyday things
easily. I am finally in a walking cast but still can't walk on it! I go
back to the doctor next week and if he says I can start walking on it then
and go to physical therapy. But as you can imagine I have been trying to
stand on it a bit to get a head start for next week but I am scared and it
doesn't feel so good! This has me feeling like I'll never be able to
walk on it. It's also Hubby's birthday soon and we are going to a
concert and casino so that has me under the gun to try to be able to
walk on it for the concert at least! Hopefully my MoJo will find it's way home soon!
I have been told that there is always
something to look at in my house. I have pictures everywhere and random
stuff as well. I have a full size mannequin in my living room, ear plug
dispenser on a wall & vintage plastic care bears. (Just to name a few
things.) In our bedroom I made some new curtains, the old ones were a
light pink and well rather blah if you ask me! I also have those paper
lantern above our bed~ hubby's side of course lol. Now I smile when I
walk (scoot) into our bedroom!
You know how you make something and then
you are, well over it? That's how it was for me after I made the Bohemian
Bag videos. I was done with it. My friend Wendy has told me on several
occasions that I need to introduce the Bohemian Bag to my product line
but I wasn't feeling it. Especially after doing all the video's editing and blah
blah's that goes into doing an online workshop. So here we are 3 weeks
after being "over it" to find myself not longer "over it". I had a vision
of a Black & Gray bag with "Sweater Beads" done up with Hot Pink
& White Beads--So off to Salvation Army I was!
After you have made up one or two they tend to whip up quickly! The bag turned out just as I had envisioned it~ don't you love when that happens?
Considering that I had, had another vision this week and it did not go as I hoped :(
So if you want one of your own, I can custom make you one! Just email me.
If you want to make one yourself you can take the online workshop along with 19 other workshops!!
Here's the link.
