Seems like everywhere you turn you find these Elastic Hair Ties- I am addicted to them myself but they can get pricey!
Now you can make them for a fraction of the cost and it couldn't be simpler even if your not crafty.
Now when you see them at the store for 5 for $5.50 you will laugh
because you can make them for .14 each!
The link to buy the elastic is 20 yards for $11.50 and you can make 80 hair ties with 20 yards!

I was commissioned to make Upcycled Sit Upon's for a Children's center.
They had to be made with something that could be wiped off -
No fabric, so what better than fused plastic!
These would be Fabulous for Day Care's or even schools. They can be customized in so many ways!

I have decided to take a "crafty" hiatus for a bit.
I will still be doing a few craft shows this year & accepting custom orders.
I have decided to dedicate my blog to Ucycled Craftiness that I find on the web for you to enjoy & inspire you.
I will provide links to their websites and if you have a tutorial or crafty idea you would like me to post just email me.
Thank you!

Well after finally making those slippers I started doing some stuff I have been wanting to do but never really got around to it!
One of those things was to make these Cake Cookies!
I however changed a few things.
I didn't add Peanut Butter~ we are big on Peanut Butter in my house.
Now I would have put in Chocolate Chips but I didn't have any.
Recipe:
I box of white cake mix (got on sale for a buck!)
*you could so use any kind (like chocolate)
1/4 cup of Milke (I used Soy Milk)
2 Eggs
Mix all together
Drop on an oiled cookies sheet~ dough is super sticky so mine didn't come out looking all pretty.
not sure if the peanut butter would have helped that at all.
Bake 350 for 10-12 min
I also bought frosting for them but really they are much tastier with out frosting.
I am enjoying some right now with my Chai Tea!
These are also great when you have to make a desert but all you have is a box of cake mix & no frosting.
Enjoy
(refer to the link to the original recipe if you want to add peanut butter)
